A project that helps people to grow food, cook on a budget and support healthier lives is looking for volunteers.
The Full Circle Food Project is a registered charity based at Hirst Welfare Centre in Ashington.
The project’s new ‘Grow Ya Own’ garden group is looking for individuals, families and groups within the area who are interested in growing their own fruit and vegetables and gardening.
The group is also on the look out for volunteers who might want to grow their own but could help others to learn.
There is also a kitchen garden facility at the rear of the Hirst Welfare Centre, which is open from 8am to 9pm, seven days a week.
Anyone interested in growing or being a volunteer or would like to find out more information about the project can call Glynis Reynolds on (01670) 857810 or email email@example.com
