Fund-raisers will be in the pink at a charity event tonight.
Mike Harrison is organising a Wear It Pink night at Ashington Football Club in memory of his mum Carole Elliott, from Stobhill, who died from breast cancer last August aged only 49.
A similar event last raised more than £1,800 and Mike, a junior doctor who works at the new emergency care hospital at Cramlington and North Tyneside General Hospital, is hoping for similar success this year.
The night runs from 7pm to midnight and features music and comedy from Decca Bell, a raffle, pink-themed tombola, photo booth, games and spot prizes. Admission is £5.
Proceeds are in aid of Breast Cancer Now.
