A girlguide from Cramlington will be off to Norway to represent the guides and take part in an international camp.

Josephine Rahman, who is currently a member of Cramlington Division, recently attended an International Opportunities weekend organised by Girlguiding North East England at Thornthwaite near Harrogate.

During the weekend Josie had the chance to meet members from other areas in the north east, taking part in team building exercises and quizzes.

They had the opportunity of listening to a presentation on last trip to Ethiopia and also a presentation given by the Scouts on the trip to the World Scout Jamboree in Japan 2015.

Josephine was then selected to represent the Girlguiding Region in Norway next year where she will have the opportunity to take part in an International camp, followed by home hospitality by a local Norwegian group or family.

She will have the chance to take part in a Community project as well as meeting and learning about other cultures.

As part of her selection, funds will need to be raised to cover the cost of her trip and she will be meeting up with the other members who will be taking part in the international camp.
