A local shopping centre has teamed up with a local charity to bring back its annual Give a Gift campaign that helps bring smiles to the faces of those less fortunate on Christmas Day.

Until December 18, shoppers are invited to select a tag from the gift tree located in the atrium at Keel Row Shopping Centre, wich will each feature the age and gender of a child supported by St Oswald’s Hospice and Children North East.

The shopper can then buy an appropriate present that will be given to the child on Christmas Day.

Shoppers are asked to drop off their present (un- wrapped), along with the tag selected from the tree, to the Centre Management Office by Friday, December 18.

Danielle Callender, fundraiser at St Oswald’s said: “We are so grateful to Keel Row Shopping Centre for inviting us to take part in their ‘Give a Gift’ campaign

“The extra gifts given this Christmas, will go towards children and young people who use our services will experience the joy of receiving a present, specifically chosen for their age.

“It’s a lovely way to allow shoppers to support a local charity and make a real difference this Christmas, and we thank Keel Row and their customers for their kind support.”
