Go for gold in bloom competition

Budding photographers are being invited to capture the right colours this spring as part of this year’s Bedlington in Bloom’s ‘Going for Gold’.

The aim of the competition is to photograph gold and yellow – such as daffodils, polyanthus, primulas, forsythia and dandelions – from now until the middle of May, anywhere in West Bedlington, to be in with a chance of winning.

Photographs will be judged in under-18s and over-18s categories, and should be sent by email to West Bedlington Town Council with a name, contact and the location of the picture.

The deadline for entries to the competition is Thursday, May 15, ahead of the judging on May 20.

Photos will be on display West Bedlington Community Centre until the bloom judging in July.
