A COUNTRY park in Northumberland is getting ready to welcome visitors to enjoy a talk about herbs and plants that live in the park.
Plessey Woods Country Park in Blyth, will play host to an event led by herbalist Ruth Iglesias-Cuevas who has a business locally in Bedlington.
During the ‘herbal walk’, which runs from 10am to noon on Monday, April 8, she will talk about species that grow in the woods and their uses, benefits, and anything that people should be cautious about.
The woodlands offer a range of interesting herbs and plant life all year round.
This is one of four walks throughout the year covering the different seasons.
There is a £3.50 charge to take part in the walk, and those who wish to go along should meet at the visitor centre at the park.
Pre-booking is available by visiting www.northumberland.gov.uk emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling (01670) 824793.
