A charity night in Blyth is expected to raise hundreds of pounds for charity in memory of mum Lena Cochrane.
Lena, mum to Suzanne, Andrew and Paula, and wife to Alan, passed away a year ago following diagnosis of cancer.
Her last ten days were spent in the Marie Curie Hospice in Newcastle and Suzanne described the care as incredible.
She said: “The care, compassion and understanding they gave to Mam and to us was just incredible. We were able to stay with her 24 7 from the moment she arrived, sleeping at the hospice wherever we could find space. This enabled us to spend every minute possible with her during this time, precious and invaluable to us.”
A fundraiser on Saturday, December 7, at the Five Club in Newsham at 7pm is hoping to raise money for Marie Curie, with around 150 raffle prizes and a treasure hunt for a £500 diamond. Tickets are on sale now for £5 from the venue or by emailing Suzanne at firstname.lastname@example.org
