A charity keen to support communities is looking to make a difference in the Ashington area.
London-based Locality has sent a team of community organisers to the town in a bid to help create networks, build trust and respect, and help residents have a voice on what needs doing.
The organisers are keen to let people have their say and are holding a meeting in the town to discuss what is needed to make things better.
Community organiser Karen Stuart said: “Our mission is to create networks, build trust and respect within our communities, and very importantly, listen to the views of people in the community as impartially as possible.
“We hope to talk to as many people in the Ashington area as we can about what they like about the area, what they don’t like or worries them, and what they would like to see happen.”
There will be a drop-in session on Tuesday, April 23, at Hirst Library between 3.30pm and 5pm.
