Have you taken a photograph of the Northumberland Coast that is good enough to go on the front cover of a visitor guide?
The Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) Partnership is holding a photography competition this summer to find the front picture for its 2014 Northumberland Coast Visitor Guide.
Liz Walters from the AONB Partnership said: “We publish 40,000 copies of our visitor guide each year.
“The guide provides lots of really useful information helping visitors to make the most of their visit to the coast.
“First impressions count, so it is really important to have a front cover image that is really stunning and will encourage visitors to pick up a copy and read it.
“The photo must have been taken within the Northumberland Coast AONB but can be of virtually anything.
“Showing people in the landscape, but not dominating it, is a good thing as it helps visitors to picture themselves there.”
Images need to be in an electronic format and be 280 x 356 mm (3307 x 4205 pixels, resolution 300dpi) and should be emailed to email@example.com
Anyone interested in entering can see previous visitor guide covers and the full set of rules on the partnership’s website – www.northumberlandcoastaonb.org
The closing date for entries is October 1.
