The Glebe Road gym is collecting gifts and financial donations for The Christmas Present appeal, which will ensure children from Bedlington and the surrounding area who would not otherwise get a gift from Santa receive a present this Christmas.

Captain Randall Clarke and his wife Major Sheryl Clarke, from the Bedlington Salvation Army, along with Amanda Affleck, from Paramount, have been delighted with the response so far.

Captain Clarke said: “The appeal is for new toys, which we will wrap, then distribute to children who will not otherwise receive a Christmas present.

“We would particularly like toys for children under the age of three, but any toy is welcomed.”

Amanda added: “We at Paramount are one big family and the response from our members has been remarkable, but we are keen to encourage everyone in Bedlington to become involved in such a worthwhile cause.

“Please, if you can, simply drop off any donation or new toy, big or small, at our reception and we will ensure it finds its way into The Christmas Present appeal.”

The final day for donations is Wednesday, December 12.

Team Paramount is grateful to the local businesses and residents who have already given generously.

Anyone who would like to donate can call the gym on 01670 823223.
