Hairdressing students have proved they are a cut above the rest after raising hundreds of pounds for charity.
The students, from Northumberland College, held their annual hair show at Ashington High School, which raised more than £400 for CLIC Sargent.
The evening saw hair and beauty students from the college work with models and photography students for catwalk fashion show.
The event featured African, Egyptian, Japanese, European, British and Indian hairstyles as part of the final show, which celebrated the end of the students’ second year at the college.
Hairdressing tutor Jan Marley said: “The students took so much pride in their work this year, paying particular attention to the detail in the hair-ups they created.
“They really excelled themselves and I’m very proud of them all.
“A lot of effort went into the costumes and make-up for the models.
“The students thoroughly enjoyed the show and are so motivated to do more.
“It was a great finale to their course and definitely gives them the confidence to progress within the hairdressing industry.”
