Budding wizards, witches and even muggles are invited to join a spellbinding Harry Potter book night at two Northumberland libraries.

Harry Potter fans all over the world celebrate the annual Harry Potter book night and now the magic is coming to Northumberland on Thursday, February 4, with a ‘Night of Spells’.

Hexham library will be hosting the event for eight to 12-year-olds while Cramlington library introduces the wonder of JK Rowling’s unforgettable stories with the next generation of readers aged five to 11.

After children have been sorted into their Hogwarts houses by the famous ‘Sorting Hat’, they will begin a night of games, activities, readings and quizzes.

Children at Hexham library will compete for points throughout the evening’s challenges.

Harry Potter fans at Cramlington library will make their own magical wand, play table quidditch and will also take part in the trivia challenge.

Bedlington Station library are also hosting Harry Potter themed activities from Monday, February 1, to Saturday, February 6, where children can enjoy a Harry Potter themed activity table.
