STAFF at the Holiday Inn in Seaton Burn ‘laid’ some eggs for children’s charities in the local area recently.

The team were hunting for chocolate eggs in the run up to Easter and managed to collect 206 eggs and £100 in donations for the Toby Henderson Trust in Morpeth and Action for Children in Newbiggin and Lynemouth.

Staff, leisure club members, guests and contractors were all generous in donating to the drive, dropping off their Easter eggs at the hotel reception, where a ‘pyramid’ was built in the reception area.

The Holiday Inn’s general manager, Norrie Oswald, made a slight detour from his usual role at the hotel by playing the Easter bunny for the day in order to deliver the eggs in time for children on Easter Sunday.
