Impressed by evening

I must congratulate Blyth Rotary for a wonderful evening’s entertainment on Saturday, May 16, at the Phoenix Theatre.

I am not a member of the Rotary myself but had an interest in the Bede Academy Jazz Club who were invited to open the show.

Their performance was very professional and it gave an indication of what was to come.

The dancing, singing, comedy and the sketches from all the performers was excellent, full of variety and talent.

The Rotary gave us an insight into the tremendous work they do with a couple of short films in this country and also in other parts of the world.

In particular, I was impressed with their involvement with the tall ships scheme that made one feel proud to live in Blyth.

Someday I am convinced that with that type of organisation and determination Blyth will achieve greatness once again
