Staff and children at an Ashington nursery are celebrating a good rating.
Hirst Welfare Nursery, which provides day care for children up to five years old, was rated Good in a recent Ofsted inspection for the quality and standards of its early years’ provision.
Children at the centre were found to make good progress in their learning and were stimulated by knowledgeable and caring staff, who were good role models to them.
Inspectors also highlighted the strong and effective leadership, calm learning environment and good teaching skills, which closely matched each child’s capabilities.
Parents also spoke highly about the staff and said their children are safe, happy and well cared for at the nursery.
Nicole Gibbons, manager of Hirst Welfare Nursery said: “Our whole ethos is about putting the children first so that they can achieve the best that they can.
“Everyone in the team works really hard to provide high quality care and education for the children and we are all so pleased with the inspection result.”
There are currently a few spaces available at the nursery.
