Jazz club welcomes male vocalist to the stage

For the first time in its 33-year history, Ashington Jazz Club will be featuring a male vocalist.

The Paul Skerritt band will be appearing upstairs at the Elephant Pub on Wednesday, August 6.

Paul sings numbers from Sinatra to Buble, and everything in between.

The band, from Teesside, features 21-year-old child protege James Harrison on piano, Tom Chapman on drums, and Anthony Ord on bass.

The concert starts at 8pm on Wednesday, August 6, in the Elephant Pub in Newbiggin Road, Ashington, and promises to be a real treat for jazz fans.

Tickets priced at £5, which includes entry into a free raffle, are available by calling (01670) 813983 or on the door on the night.
