Jewellery and papers stolen in raid

A LARGE amount of jewellery and personal documents were stolen during a house burglary.

Burglars broke into a house in Station Road, Cramlington, between 11.45am and 1pm on Monday.

Among the jewellery taken was a gold ring, a Swiss watch, a man’s gold signet ring with the initials ‘SNP’ engraved in it, a gold chain with emerald stones, a Seiko watch with metallic strap, a gold pocket watch chain and a two-tone quartz Rotary watch bracelet.

Police are now appealing for information into the burglary.

Enquiries are being carried out, including checking local jewellers and pawn shops.
