Junior coaching sessions at Blyth Ridley Tennis Club

Blyth Ridley Tennis Club has once again organised coaching for children interested in developing or improving their game.

Following the success of previous years’ early summer programme and now that the courts have been repainted, Blyth Ridley Tennis Club is funding a programme of junior tennis coaching.

It will be provided by a licenced coach place on Monday evenings, over six weeks, from June 6.

The club is catering for younger players with mini tennis for seven to ten-year-olds from 5.15pm to 6.15pm. This will be followed by junior tennis, for 11 years and over from 6.15pm to 7.15pm.

In order to make the course self-financing, so that it can be run in future years, there is a charge of £2 per session, or £6 for the full six-week course.

Places can be booked by contacting Phil Barron on [email protected]

Anyone wishing to join Blyth Ridley Tennis Club, which is located in Bath Terrace, should contact club chairman Tom Burn by email at [email protected] or simply call at the tennis club on a Saturday afternoon around 2pm.
