'The lifeboat was on scene very quickly and was able to recover the casualty and his kayak from the sea. Another fellow kayaker was also recovered.

'The casualty was checked over and offered a few tips for sea safety, this included the new RYA App SafeTrx.

'We would like to remind everyone that if you head to sea, a life-jacket, flares and a VHF are absolutely essential. Mobile phones can not be reliable.'
