A Vodafone store.

The News Post Leader has teamed up with the Vodafone store in Cramlington to find the worthy cause which most deserves its £1,000 Community Connection Award.

We want readers to nominate a local charity they feel should benefit.

The winner could be anything from a soup kitchen which needs money for a new oven, to a scout group which needs new uniforms.

But the winning cause must meet the following criteria:

l It should be a local charity that makes a significant impact on the local community.

l It cannot be a personal or individual plight, nor a government-funded organisation.

l The award must also be for a specific project or purpose, rather than just to cover operating costs.

l The award must be stand-alone, rather than form any part of a larger contribution or bigger appeal.

l Nominees must have a registered charity number.

Readers have until Thursday, March 30, to nominate a charity in the Cramlington area which they feel deserves to win the £1,000.

The winner will be selected from all eligible entries.

The Vodafone Community Connection Awards were launched specifically to support and highlight worthy causes in the communities served by the company’s stores.

You can nominate your chosen charity by email to [email protected] Just tell us in less than 200 words who you think should win the money and what it would be used for. Remember, all entries must meet the criteria.
