Sport leaders from the county have helped to run two multi skills festivals.
The group of 14 leaders from Blyth Academy helped run th Year 2 festivals, which were organised by the Blyth and Bedlington School Sport Programme.
The festivals involved around 600 children and saw them take part in a range of activities based on agility, balance and coordination, to enable them to improve their physical abilities and performance.
School Sports Programme teacher. Angela Parsons, said: “The leaders had a vital role in both days; helping to organise the children, setting out equipment and in some cases running an activity themselves.
“We received many compliments from the staff of the primary schools attending as to how well they had performed on both days.
“They were superb ambassadors for, and a credit to, the Blyth Academy, showing a positive attitude and enthusiasm.”
