Lewis flying high after national call up
Lewis Davey will captain Great Britain Pioneers on their rugby league visit to Turkey.
The 22-year-old, currently at Leeds Trinity University, is part of the 20-man squad that will play the national side and other local teams, and run sessions to help grow the game.

Hide AdLewis, who was on the books of the Newcastle Thunder Academy, has recently played for the Kingston Press Championship side Keighley Cougars while combining his studies.
Jeff Ball, Rockets chairman, said: “It is fantastic for Lewis and fantastic for the club.
“To be able to say to our current junior players ‘Lewis started off like you’ and then see him captain a GB side, there is no better example.
“He has a fantastic attitude and we are sure he will be very successful on this tour and beyond.”

Hide AdThe club completed a fundraiser to help towards Lewis’ travel costs, raising £358 to ensure he was on the plane.
Lewis said: “I’m very excited to be named as captain. Thank you to everyone who has supported me. You’ve helped me out so much.
“I would not have been able to go without your support.”
