It’s time to talk at a Northumberland women’s group to spread the word on organ donation.
The national WI movement failed to vote on a resolution for an ongoing campaign this year, but it has not deterred Seaton Valley members, who have returned to the 2014 topic ‘time to talk about organ donation’.
Last year, each member of the group was challenged to take five organ donation registration forms to distribute to family and friends and encourage discussion on the subject.
And now they have determined to make ‘more time to talk’ to keep the conversation going.
This month, each of the members will be reminded of the campaign, and new recruits will be introduced to it.
Figures show that 82 per cent of the population has signed up to donation, but only half have told their relatives.
