Lots of fun and games for charity
Police officers from Cramlington joined residents at RMBI care home Scarbrough Court for a charity Big Board Game Day, which brought in more than £500.
To raise funds for the NSPCC, the officers visited the facility to play some rounds of board games with residents in exchange for a small donation.
Activities co-ordinator Dawn Peters said: “It was a great opportunity for mutual community connections.
“Both our residents and the police officers had a lot of fun and it really helps to strengthen local links.”
In addition, Scarbrough Court recently invited friends, family members and the Masonic community along for a shared coffee morning.
Members of the home’s Association of Friends also joined in the social gathering.
Everyone enjoyed music and a chat over a cup of tea or coffee and a selection of delicious cakes and scones.
