One of the games played during the day was Connect 4.

To raise funds for the NSPCC, the officers visited the facility to play some rounds of board games with residents in exchange for a small donation.

Activities co-ordinator Dawn Peters said: “It was a great opportunity for mutual community connections.

“Both our residents and the police officers had a lot of fun and it really helps to strengthen local links.”

In addition, Scarbrough Court recently invited friends, family members and the Masonic community along for a shared coffee morning.

Members of the home’s Association of Friends also joined in the social gathering.

Everyone enjoyed music and a chat over a cup of tea or coffee and a selection of delicious cakes and scones.
