A senior Government politician has hit the election campaign trail in Northumberland.
Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Life Sciences, George Freeman, visited Lynemouth Power Station to show his support for Berwick Conservative candidate Anne-Marie Treveleyan.
He heard from finance director Deborah Walton about the facility’s planned conversion to biomass, and its role in bringing economic benefit to the community.
While in Northumberland he also visited QuestUVA firm in Amble.
Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Liz Truss, visited the Conservative Ladies Lunch Club and Doddington Dairy on her visit to the region.
