Members of a south east Northumberland care home received a special visitor that was a little out of the ordinary.
Residents at Northlea Court in Cramlington welcomed four-legged friend Monet to their premises for a session of ‘pony therapy’.
Yvonne Pearson, from the home, said: “The visit from Pony Therapy was eagerly anticipated by our residents and relatives.
“This is the second time Pony Therapy has visited Northlea, and the residents had been talking about it for weeks prior to the event, and it has truly been a memorable experience for all the residents and families.
“To see the smiles and witness the interaction between the pony and residents was a sheer delight.”
Monet visited the residents in the dining room then went around the home visiting some of the bedrooms, where there were residents who were bed-bound.
Meanwhile daffodils were given to all the residents.
