Shoppers at a county mall are being encouraged to enjoy some Mother’s Day pampering and raise funds for charity in the process.
Northumberland College beauty students will host a pop-up beauty bar to raise funds for CLIC Sargent at Keel Row shopping centre in Blyth, on Saturday, March 14, from 10am to 1pm.
In return for a charitable donation, Keel Row customers can treat themselves to an array of relaxing treatments including a hand and arm massage, nail file and polish and a selection of nail art.
The money raised will help support those who are affected by cancer in the local area and go towards improving the lives of young cancer patients.
Dawn Eastham, Northumberland College’s course leader, said: “We are really looking forward to providing Blyth shoppers with some fabulous treatments while raising money for such worthy local charity.
“Our beauticians are all set to provide some serious pampering on Saturday, especially as a treat to mums this Mother’s Day.”
Shopping centre manager Callum Reid added: “It is great to be working in partnership with the college to offer our shoppers a pampering treat and raise funds for CLIC Sargent.”
