Motorbike rider suffers serious injuries in Northumberland crash
A 37-year-old motorbike rider suffered '˜serious leg and arm injuries' in a crash in Northumberland.
A Northumbria Police spokeswoman said that the incident happened on the B1339 between Lesbury and Longhougton on Friday night. The spokeswoman said the casualty was taken to Newcastle RVI and he was described as being in a critical but stable condition.
A section of the road was closed for several hours to allow collision investigation to be carried out. No other vehicle was involved in the collision.
