Blyth Valley MP Ronnie Campbell has urged residents to get their homes insulated ahead of the winter.

The Labour MP has been a supporter of Warm Zones since it started operating in Northumberland 13 years ago.

“They can help you save money and enjoy a warmer home, they have already helped tens of thousands of people in Northumberland by installing insulation, and heating improvements as well as helping people claim all the benefits they are entitled to receive,” he said.

Warm Zones can offer up to 100 per cent grant funding for measures such as new boilers, cavity wall and loft insulation – that could help save hundreds off annual fuel bills.

“They also have a free and confidential benefits advice service that could boost your income by thousands of pounds each year,” added Mr Campbell.

“Warm Zones is a locally based, not-for-profit Community Interest Company.

“I would urge you to contact Warm Zones to see if they can be of assistance. There is no obligation and they will not give you the hard sell.”
