A mother is holding a charity event to help raise funds for research into a condition her son suffers from.
Michelle Foster, from Blyth, is planning a charity night in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, as her son Charlie suffers from the condition.
The night, which will also be in aid of Organ Donation Awareness, will take place on Saturday, August 22, at New Delaval and Newsham Workmens social club on Winship Street in Blyth, from 6pm to 11.30pm.
Entry is £3, which is payable on the door, and children are welcome with those three and under free.
Michelle said: “We are trying to raise awareness because not enough people know how devastating CF can be.
“CF is a life shortening disease and we were totally devastated when we found out Charlie had it.
“Hopefully we can raise some money which will go towards research into finding a cure.”
“On the night we have a photo booth and a proper candy floss machine booked, also disco, raffle tombola and a few games,” added Michelle.
“We are always after donations too, so if anyone can help that would be great.”
