Music and magic lined up for fair

Fairground rides, live music and a host of family entertainment are being lined up for Ashington Fayre Day.

Entertaining the crowds at a previous Ashington Fayre Day.

Sunday’s event takes place at the Wansbeck Square car park and adjoining grassed area from 10.30am to 4.30pm.

Live acts taking part include We Steal Flyers, The Hookahs, KSVT and Walk the Line. There will be a special performance by Canadian singer/guitarist Ariel Posen, who will also be performing in the town on Monday.

Tribe Zuza will give dance displays between some of the music, magic will be provided by magician Tony Junior and characters from Paw Patrol and the Minions willbe dropping in.

Ashington Cricket Club is also hosting its annual Real Ale &Cider Weekend at the club just across Kenilworth Road.

The fair is brought together by local community organisations, working alongside Ashington Town Council, including Ashington Town Team, Bad Apples NorthEast, YMCA Northumberland and Ashington Cricket Club, as well as Northumberland County Council.
