A Blyth church is holding its annual Christmas Tree Festival next month.
St Cuthbert’s Church in Plessey Road is hosting the event for the third time from Monday, December 7, to Saturday, December 12.
Because of the popularity of the previous festivals, this year the programme has been extended to include music.
There is a variety of musical entertainment including organ recitals, Jarrow Choral Society, The Linden Singers, Beaconsfield Operatic Society, Jiggery Pokery, The North East Mandolin Band, school choirs and St Cuthbert’s Church Choir, all free.
On Friday evening an audience will be entertained by Ellington Colliery Band, tickets are £5 with light refreshments. Saturday morning St Cuthbert’s will host its annual Big Sing, giving the opportunity for all visitors to request their favourite Christmas Carols and sing along.
For further information contact organiser Cecil Smith on (01670) 360258.
All of this entertainment will take place while visitors enjoy viewing Christmas trees, sponsored and decorated by local businesses.
