A state-of-the-art care home described as ‘stunning’ by inspectors has opened its doors to the public.
The prestigious care facility Baedling Manor, in Front Street West, Bedlington, is holding a series of meet-and-greet open days this week.
Families and individuals interested in the facility are welcome to drop in between 10am and 6.30pm until Wednesday, May 24.
It has had its initial CQC Registration inspection and preview visits by health and social care professionals, where the inspectors described the home as ‘stunning’.
The multi-million pound facility, operated by care provider Alcyone Healthcare, will provide a centre of excellence for residential social care and dementia care, as well as providing a flexible out-reach package to guests requiring day, overnight and respite care.
Managing director Darren Taylor said: “We are delighted to be able to open the doors to Baedling Manor to welcome our first visitors.
“The high calibre of well-trained staff along with the state-of-the-art care facilities and services we offer at Baedling Manor fills me with excitement and a lot of pride.
“The open days are a great way to let people have a good look around and speak to the management and staff. It will give prospective residents and their families the opportunity to see the quality of service and facilities on offer.

Baedling Manor is the first luxury care development to be opened by Alcyone Healthcare with plans for more to open in South Northumberland over the next few years.
The care provider has made a significant investment in Bedlington providing more than 50 job opportunities as well as making a significant contribution to the local economy by supporting local businesses.
