A new beachfront housing development is on the rise after its first plots were reserved.
Ascent Homes has launched its new development in Newbiggin, featuring 24 two, three and four-bedroom homes in Newbiggin Bay.
One of the first to reserve a plot was Jeff Gascoigne who secured his mother her dream bungalow.
The development is on the site of the former Windsor First School, where Mr Gascoigne and his father attended.
Ascent Homes, the house building arm of Arch, only has three plots remaining to reserve on phase one of Windsor View. The next phase is likely to be release in late Spring.
Claire Scott, Ascent Homes sales manager, said: “I’m delighted to open this beautiful beach front development and welcome our first buyer.
“Windsor View is a stunning location, which cannot fail to impress.
“We have worked hard to develop the highest quality specifications.
“Our focus is on the customer, both in terms of what they want in a home as well the sales experience received from reservation to completion”.
Windsor View has created 12 new local jobs, 70 per cent of sub-contract orders are through Northumberland firms and the scheme is already attracting high-levels of interest locally.
The first phase of construction is well on its way with the Sales Office open Thursday to Monday, 10am to 5pm.
