New housing plans to go on display
Residents are being invited to have their say on new housing proposed in Ashington.
Ascent Homes is holding a public consultation event to showcase proposals for 138 new homes on land at Potland Burn, adjacent to Portland Terrace.
The informal event will take place from 3pm until 6.30pm on Tuesday, November 28, at Wansbeck Workspace, Rotary Way, Ashington, opposite The Old Ash Dene pub.
Ascent Homes’ proposal is to create a range of two, three and four-bedroom properties designed to suit all occupiers including bungalows, terraced, semi-detached and detached houses.
Representatives from Ascent Homes and its development team including the architect and planning consultant, will be on hand to discuss the plans and answer any questions.
Duncan Bowman, Arch’s development director, said: “We look forward to sharing our initial proposals to create a range of new properties on the western edge of Ashington.
“Visitors attending will be given the opportunity to provide feedback on the day and for a week following the event.
“The feedback will considered before we make a final planning application, which will be lodged in December.”
All feedback must be received Tuesday, December 5.
