In its latest move to make its products more widely available in the North East, Bakers Pantry has signed a partnership agreement with Lakes & Dales Co-operative.

Lovers of Donkins pasties and Andersons pies living in the Seaton Valley will be delighted to know that they can purchase these favourites at the Avenue Road store in Seaton Delaval, with the launch at the new store on the Wheatridge Park housing estate to follow soon.

Lakes & Dales was formed when Scotmid merged with Penrith Co-operative in 2013. A merger with Seaton Valley Co-operative in 2015 brought a further two stores into the portfolio.

Bakers Pantry managing director David Crook said: “Lakes & Dales place a strong emphasis on providing local products to customers and ours are freshly baked only a few miles away in Ashington.”

He added: “We share the same passion for quality, freshness and customer service.”
