A manager is getting used to her new surroundings.
Michelle Shippen has been appointed the new nursing home manager at Astor Lodge View nursing home in Cramlington.
Qualifying as a learning disabilities nurse in 1995 before moving into elderly care in 2012, her new role will see her oversee the running of the 29-bed care home which provides support for those requiring around the clock nursing care.
Michelle said: “I am delighted to be taking over the home manager’s role at Astor Lodge View. I am looking forward to continuing to build on its reputation for providing high quality care and building strong relationships within our local community.
“We have an open door policy here at Astor Lodge View so please feel free to visit us at any time.
“We will be happy to give you a tour of our facilities and chat about the services we offer.”
Stephen Young, regional director of the Maria Mallaband Care Group and Countrywide Care Homes which operates the home, said: “Michelle brings a wealth of experience to Astor Lodge View and their dedicated nursing team.
