New site will give quicker access to services

NORTHUMBERLAND residents are being encouraged to ‘Save Time Do It Online’ when accessing council services.

The new online campaign encourages customers who usually visit or ring their customer service centres to visit their website – at – instead, making a whole range of tasks simpler and quicker.

Problems such as faulty street lights, missed bins collections and pot holes can also be reported conveniently and efficiently.

Kate Roe, deputy chief executive at Northumberland County Council, said: “As a council we are continually looking at ways to transform the council services so that they can be accessed easily by our customers.

“By doing more online, residents can decide on a time that best suits their lifestyle.

“By offering more self-service transactions you are offering more choice and convenience to the residents and it results in increase customer satisfaction.”
