Blyth Town Council has agreed to take part in a Northumberland-wide survey to help improve the town centre.
The survey is due to take place in the early autumn with the results being made available in the new Yyear.
It is hoped the figures will help plan Blyth’s future.
Town Mayor Bob Parker said: “The survey is a key part of our efforts to revitalise the town centre.”
Steve Bradley, chairman of Blyth Town Team, added: “It’s a fantastic opporunity for Blyth.
“Local businesses will be getting marketing data at no cost.”
