A new play based on a spin off of the popular radio show Drama In The Parlour is heading to Seaton Delaval for a one off special performance.
The successful vintage radio style entertainment that is Drama In The Parlour is going on the road with a spin off series called Fegwells Vintage Radio Show.
Penned by the talented writer of the original series, Alex Swan, this new incarnation features some of the most popular characters from the seven original Drama In The Parloua episodes.
Aunt Beryl, Thrust Titan and old favourite, the foppish Henry Fripiere are all making a return in the first outing for this new project – a one off special performance at Seaton Delaval Arts Centre on Saturday, July 6.
Each of the team of talented performers provides the voice for a wide range of characters, sometimes even supplying both sides of the conversation themselves.
Writer and actor Alex Swan said: “We are excited about reaching a new audience at the Seaton Delaval Arts Centre.
“Although this new venture is some distance from Stocksfield, we are sure that some of our fans will follow us to the new venue and we will attract a new audience from south east Northumberland.”
The new company, Fegwells Vintage Radio Show, will operate in tandem with the original Drama In The Parlour company and will hopefully expand their audience base, bringing their unique style of period comedy entertainment to the whole of the north east.
Drama In The Parlour will be at Seaton Delaval Arts Centre on Saturday, July 6, at 7.30pm.
Tickets priced at £5 are available by calling 07825 777112 or calling the centre on (0191) 237 5460.
