A science-centred businessman is enjoying the sweet smell of success with his new odour elimination venture.
Stephen Meenaghan has launched the Breath of Fresh Air service, which destroys odours at cellular level by tackling the source.
Using a portable device, he calculates and provides the correct level of ozone gas to provide a freshness similar to the air after a thunderstorm.
The new service is an extension of Stephen’s existing Stozone businesses, which specialises in chemical-free hygiene treatments.
He said: “I tested my product on some really appalling fish smells in my kitchen and they were eliminated within half an hour. This made me realise the potential for my product and service in a whole range of situations, including second-hand cars, holiday homes, private and rented properties and care homes.
“There is already a huge appetite for Stozone as it is not masking one smell by replacing it with another, as many off-the-shelf products tend to do. The Stozone treatment eliminates the source of the odour.”
Stephen said the three worst smells to eliminate are wet dog, cigarette smoke and artificial scent from sprays.
He recently showcased his service at a North East Chamber of Commerce event, having joined the group as a start-up business.
“It is invaluable to meet other entrepreneurs and hear their stories,” he said.
“Also, if I am having a particular problem there is someone at the various events who can give you a hand or advice.”
