The award is run by the Institute for Education Business Excellence and recognises the high standards achieved by NEBP in its work connecting schools, colleges and businesses for the benefit of young people in the Northumberland area.
The aim of the partnership is to improve standards in schools and raise the achievements of young people by developing work related and enterprise dimensions to the curriculum in partnership with local employers.
Northumberland EBP offers a full range of off-the-peg as well as bespoke courses and activities for children and young people at all stages of their education.
Margaret Frostick, 14-19 adviser, said: “We are delighted to be accredited with the ‘Award for Education Business Excellence’ and pleased that our efforts to improve the learning experiences of young people in Northumberland have been recognised at a national level.
“We are all extremely proud of our range of products and services that help support schools, colleges and businesses and help develop the skills of their young people in preparation for the future.”
All of the activities offered by NEBP are supported by business ambassadors.
These ambassadors are professional people who want to support schools in Northumberland and prepare young people for the world of work.
