Pedestrian jumps to safety from path of quad bike

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man had to jump out of the way of a quad bike being ridden towards him.

The 63-year-old pedestrian was on the pavement in Kinloss Square, Cramlington, at 2.40pm on Thursday, March 16, when a man on a quad bike mounted the kerb and drove towards him.

The pedestrian, concerned for his safety, jumped out of the way and the quad bike rider rode off.

Police said he was shaken by the incident but otherwise uninjured.

The quad bike is described as a dark green-coloured mini-quad.
