Pensioner collapsed at Seaton Sluice Harbour Day

An elderly woman was treated for a suspected angina attack after collapsing at Seaton Sluice Harbour Day.

The 86-year-old woman suffered chest pains and collapsed at the event yesterday.

Members of Blyth Coastguard team, who were at the Harbour Day, were approached by a member of the public and asked to give first aid assistance.

As they helped the pensioner, an ambulance was called. The ambulance crew started treatment for a supected angina attack and the woman was taken to hospital.
