Bedlington care home marks Queen's birthday
Care home residents brewed up a special party to mark the Queen’s birthday.
Chester Court, in Bedlington, held an afternoon tea party to mark the Queen’s 95th birthday as well as National Tea Day.
Head chef Dawn whipped up a tasty selection of freshly-baked scones, cakes, sandwiches and nibbles for the occasion, all washed down with a cup of tea or glass of wine.
Residents also took part in crown crafts and watched a virtual tour of Windsor Castle.
Sarah, General Manager at Chester Court, said: “Our residents love nothing more than a good cuppa, they all really enjoyed the afternoon tea. It was also a lovely way to say thank you to our longest reigning monarch.”
Gloria, a resident at Chester Court said: “The Queen is an amazing lady who has been through so much lately so it was a wonderful way to pay our respects.”
