Eggs-tra special treat for patients at Northumberland hospital

Taylor Wimpey North East helped lift spirits at Wansbeck General Hospital following the donation of 40 Easter eggs to the children’s unit.

The sweet treats in time for the Easter weekend were also accompanied by colouring sheets and pencils, giving patients on the ward fun activities to keep them occupied during their stay.

Brenda Longstaff, Head of Bright Northumbria charity, said: “We were delighted when Taylor Wimpey North East offered to donate Easter eggs and colouring packs to our children’s unit.

“It’s been a difficult time for our patients, due to the pandemic, and we will always endeavour to make their days brighter in any way we can.

"We’d like to say a big thank you to Taylor Wimpey for providing us with an opportunity to do this and the Easter eggs and colouring sheets really put smiles on the faces of our patients.”
