Pair honoured for 30 years service at Bedlington care home
A nurse and head chef at a Bedlington care home has been honoured for their dedication.
Maureen Atkinson, a registered nurse, and head chef Dawn Thompson have received a prestigious 10 and Year Service Award for working at Barchester Healthcare for a combined 30 years.
Maureen started at Barchester in October 2010 while Dawn started in October 2000.
The pair now work at Chester Court Care Home.
Jane McFarlane, Employee Services Director at Barchester, said: “I’m always pleased to hear stories about the long service of Barchester staff and am delighted Maureen Atkinson has achieved this milestone.
"It is dedication like this that ensures our residents are provided with a happy place to live.”
Sarah Kelly, General Manager of Chester Court Care Home, said: “We’re delighted to be celebrating 30 years of loyal service with Maureen and Dawn.
"They have demonstrated their dedication and loyalty to this home and its residents year after year.
