Blyth Valley MP Ian Levy said: “It was absolutely fantastic to once again welcome Boris Johnson to Blyth Valley and to showcase the brilliant work that is taking place.

"It is quite incredible, and I suspect unprecedented for a Prime Minister to visit the same constituency twice in two months.

“I keep making the point that there is so much going on in Blyth Valley and I am extremely proud to represent such a proactive and resilient constituency.

"This factory in Seaton Delaval is another example of that with the health trust showing great innovation by manufacturing their own supply of PPE.

"Well done to the NHS.”

Boris Johnson visited Blyth on December 11 last year which included a tour of the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult to see testing facilities for wind turbine blades that will be installed as part of the world’s largest offshore wind farm at Dogger Bank.

The Prime Minister also surprised the public when he joined an exercise class that was taking place on the promenade at the beach.
