Reading campaign taking place digitially
Northumberland Libraries are taking part in the digital events as part of Read Regional.
The annual reading campaign is a celebration of new books from the North of England, which was founded by New Writing North in 2008.
The campaign is funded by Arts Council England and is produced in partnership with 23 library authorities across the region.
The ten selected authors will be meeting audiences online from April until June. At the easy-to-access digital events, the authors will introduce their work and share stories about the writing process, as well as answering questions from audience members.
Northumberland Libraries will be hosting two events on zoom CJ Cooke on Thursday, May 13, and Horatio Clare on Wednesday, May 19, both at 7pm.
Horatio Clare will discuss his travel book Icebreaker and his recently published Heavy Light, A Journey through Madness Mania and Healing with Sheilagh Matheson.
