Harbour View Fish and Chip Restaurant and Takeaway in Seaton Sluice has experienced record breaking sales in takeaway fish and chips during the pandemic.

And now as their restaurant reopens, its owner has decided to help redistribute its success to the Seaton Sluice Social Club, local Premier Shop and the Melton Constable pub.

As a result it has temporarily stopped the sale of beer, wines and spirits in the restaurant.

Manager Waseem Mir said: “We have been very lucky while other businesses in our village have remained closed with catastrophic results.

"We all need to do our best to support the business in and around the village and by temporarily stopping the sale of alcohol in our restaurant, we encourage people to use other facilities.

"Of course, we welcome our customers to bring their own drinks in and hope they will use the Premier Shop to purchase them.

"After their meal, perhaps they could pop into the Melton Constable or Seaton Sluice Social Club to continue their evening.”

The temporary restriction on alcohol restriction will continue over the busy summer months.

Mr Mir added: “I’d like to thank all of our customers for the way they have supported us during lockdown, and I know they will understand the reasons behind the decision we’ve made.

"We really want to support and protect the businesses that have supported us during COVID and I’m sure that everyone in the village will benefit from this decision.”
